Lately I have had some health challenges that temporarily knocked me out of the game. I spent Christmas in hospital as a result of bad food at a well known unnamed fast food joint.
Needless to say, this dude will not be eating there again, which brings me to my point for this post
My belief is that we sometimes need to just slow down a notch or two and assess where we have been, what we have done and where we are going. In other words, we should stop and smell the coffee. Slow down at least long enough to recharge our batteries.
My ‘Slow-Down’ did not come because I wanted it to happen; it was forced upon me and like it or not, I now need to hit the Reset Button.
My goals remain the same as before.
- Never forget where I came from
- Continue to re-educate myself
- Surround myself with positive mentors
- Re-evaluate my plans
- Re-adjust my plans accordingly
- Move forward with renewed enthusiasm
When I say ‘Slow-Down’ I DO NOT mean STOP! Whenever we stop, we risk getting STUCK and in order to get anywhere in life, we must continue to keep moving ahead.
A mentor of mine said that. “If we are not moving forward, we are falling behind”
Life is kind of like a railroad track…don’t get caught lying down on the track; sooner or later you might get run over by the train of life!
We might be on the right track, but if we don’t keep moving forward, we will become a casualty of our inaction.
Wrapping this up, I guess what I am trying to say is that it’s OKAY to take a breather now and then. Just don’t become a victim of STUCK and INACTION.
…and now that I have smelled the coffee, it’s time to get myself back on track.
May 2019 be your best year ever!
